Welcome to Guardian Island.
Our
reason for existing, is the stunning lack of
understanding out there, about the emotional
realism of the Innerkid that many Ageplayers
have within them.
Too
many of you hide shyly within
"communities" of spanking
enthusiasts, BDSM folks, or the many
"diaper fetishists" that include
the word "infantilism" in their
descriptions.
There
is (of course) nothing wrong with any of
those interests or groups; but they don't
much address the utterly REAL child that you
have within you, who may even make up a big
part of the adult self the world sees, but
doesn't recognize for what s/he is..
We've
chosen the word "reparenting" for
this flavor of emotionally real Ageplay.
We
know that it was used by a controversial
therapy movement in the past -- and we also
know that many of you aren't comfortable with
thinking of actual "parents" in
relation to your Innerkid.
But we
seek to explore the concept behind the label:
Of we who find magnificent power, and
emotional majesty, in allowing a very real
Innerkid, to be part of a healthy, profound
adult relationship.
It
doesn't matter if your Innerkid needs to be
treated as a Biokid
should (utterly real, non-sexual, and
gently), or if their needs mingle somewhat
with your adult self.
Some
Innerkids are sexually expressive. Some
require strict physical discipline to create
(or recreate) some fulfillment that they
crave.
Others
would be horribly traumatized by their adult
side's sexual expressions. Others would
experience corporal punishment as horrid
abuse.
We
know lots of you, of all flavors of Ageplay.
What your Innerkid needs is okay with us.

also wish to explore the needs and
motivations of Guardians
-- those who are fulfilled by being a
parental figure (even if not in the role of
an actual parent, but a loving authority
figure of some kind) to an Innerkid, within a
healthy adult relationship.
